Abstract

Tamper for manually pressing ground coffee or coffee powder, comprising: a handle (6), a shaft (5) attached to the handle (6), a flange plate (14) attached to the shaft (5), a base (4) connected to the flange plate (14) and forming a plunger as a pressing surface for the ground coffee or coffee powder, characterized in that the base (4) and the flange plate (14) form an interior space in which a vibration device (3, 11) is housed, which is connected to at least the flange plate (14) without play and is arranged to vibrate the pressing surface, and the vibration device (3, 11) is attached to the flange plate (14) without play such that a center of gravity of the vibration device (3, 11) lies on a central axis of the shaft (5).

Claims

Tamper for manually pressing ground coffee or coffee powder, comprising: a handle (6), a shaft (5) attached to the handle (6), a flange plate (14) attached to the shaft (5), a base (4) connected to the flange plate (14) and forming a plunger as a pressing surface for the ground coffee or coffee powder, characterized in that the base (4) and the flange plate (14) form an interior space in which a vibration device (3, 11) is housed, which is connected to at least the flange plate (14) without play and is arranged to vibrate the pressing surface, and the vibration device (3, 11) is attached to the flange plate (14) without play such that a center of gravity of the vibration device (3, 11) lies on a central axis of the shaft (5). Tamper according to spiral spring, claim 1, further comprising a power supply (9) which is housed in the handle (6), wherein the vibration device (3, 11) is connected to the power supply (9) via a line which is guided through the shaft (5). Tamper according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising a control device (7) which is housed in the handle (6) and controls a power supply to the vibration device (3, 11), and a switch (8) which is connected to the control device (7) and can be actuated by a user to control the vibration device (3, 11). Tamper according to one of claims 1 to 3, further comprising a placement device (13) which surrounds the flange plate (14) and at least partially the base (4) externally, wherein the placement device (13) is movably connected to the flange plate (14) by a spring device (12) in at least the axial direction of the shaft (5) and wherein an inner diameter of the placement device (13) corresponds to the outer diameter of the base (4). Tamper according to one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the base (4) and the flange plate (14) are detachably attached to one another and the base (4) contacts the vibration device (3, 11) or a material connected to the vibration device (3, 11) after attachment to the flange plate (14). Tamper according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the vibration device (3, 11) is an electric motor (3) with an unbalance eccentric (11) and wherein the power supply (9) is an electrical power supply.
