Data recording procedures

Abstract

In a fieldbus system, at least one main participant (2) and a plurality of sub-participants (3) are interconnected via a transmission path (1). If the sub-participant (3) is a first sub-participant (6) with a sub-data acquisition module, a main data acquisition module (25) of the main participant (2) forwards a request to record data of the first sub-participant (6) as a datagram to the first sub-participant (6), wherein the sub-data acquisition module (35) of the first sub-participant (6) records data of the first sub-participant (6) according to the request in a first directory (351) for recording data of the first sub-participant (6).If the sub-participant (3) is a second sub-participant (7) without a sub-data acquisition module, a main data acquisition module (25) records data received as a datagram from the second sub-participant (7) in an associated second directory (251) for recording data of the second sub-participant (7) according to the request.
