Abstract
A more flexible headlight flashing function of a motor vehicle using gestures (18, 20, 22, 24) is provided by a lighting system (30) comprising at least one headlight of a motor vehicle, in particular a front headlight, and a camera system (42), characterized in that the lighting system (30) is configured to detect a gesture (18) of a user of the motor vehicle with the aid of the camera system (42) and, depending on the gesture (18), to generate a photographic image (32) for a headlight flashing function with the lighting system (30), and a method (1000) for controlling such a lighting system (30).
