Abstract

The invention relates to an insulating housing (1) for receiving a vacuum switching tube and a heat sink (4), wherein the insulating housing (1) comprises a pole shell (10) with a cylindrical section (11) which, in the installed state, is oriented in a vertical direction and comprises an upwardly pointing opening (12) which is bounded by a circumferential edge (13) which lies in a plane perpendicular to the vertical direction, wherein inside the pole shell (10) a heat sink (4) is arranged which has a heat sink surface (5) which points towards the opening (12) and is spaced parallel to the edge (13) of the opening (12).The insulating housing (1) comprises a cap (14) made of an insulating material, which is detachably connected to the pole shell (10) to close the opening (12), wherein the cap (14) comprises a base section (15) extending in a vertical direction and a cover section (16) extending substantially perpendicular to the vertical direction, wherein a cap opening (17) is provided in the cover section (16).
