Abstract

A sensor arrangement for detecting linear motion using a worm gear and a rotary angle sensor is proposed, wherein the sensor arrangement includes a spring element to compensate for backlash that changes over the sensor arrangement's lifetime. The spring element pushes the worm gear towards the worm shaft, thus minimizing backlash.
