Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle (K) that is at least partially automated, wherein at least one camera (2) detects a steering wheel (1) of the motor vehicle (K) and the hands of a driver (F). According to the invention, it is proposed that the camera (2) is additionally used to check whether the driver (F) is wearing gloves and, if gloves are detected, either a threshold value (6a, 6b) is adjusted above which a touch of the steering wheel (2) by a hand of the driver (F) is recognized as such by at least one sensor (10) arranged on the steering wheel (1), or the evaluation of a detection of steering torques caused by the driver (F) on the steering wheel (1) by a sensor (12) is modified such that a touch of the steering wheel (1) by the driver (F) is also detected even if the detected steering torques are different compared to steering without gloves.
