Abstract
The invention relates to a method for calibrating a sensor unit for measuring magnetic fields, wherein the sensor unit comprises an NV magnetometer, a permanent magnet system comprising at least one permanent magnet for generating a bias magnetic field at the location of the NV magnetometer, and one or more further magnetometers, each arranged at a distance from the NV magnetometer and the at least one permanent magnet, wherein the method comprises the following steps: determining calibration parameters based on the respective measured magnetic fields and on the known background magnetic field, wherein the calibration parameters describe a relationship between the bias magnetic fields as a vector quantity, which are generated by the permanent magnet system at a respective location of the at least two of the magnetometers in order to calibrate the sensor unit. The invention relates to a method for measuring magnetic fields, a system for calibrating a sensor unit for measuring magnetic fields, a sensor unit for measuring magnetic fields, a computer program and a machine-readable storage medium.
