Method and repair kit for restoring a fastening assembly, repair kit, repaired fastening assembly and engine for an aircraft

Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a repair kit (1) for repairing a fastening arrangement in which a stud bolt connected to a first component (4) of the fastening arrangement has broken off. The repair kit (1) includes a repair screw element (14) with a screw element sleeve (20) and a screw element head (21) connected thereto. An internal thread (22) of the sleeve (20) corresponds to form a repair thread connection (23) with an external thread remnant (8) of a stud bolt remnant (5) of the former stud bolt.The repair thread connection (23) is formed between the external thread remnant (8) and the repair screw element (14) by inserting the screw element sleeve (20) through an opening arrangement (31) of a component assembly (9) and screwing it to the external thread remnant (8) by means of the sleeve's internal thread (22), the component assembly (9) being clamped between the screw element head (21) and the first component (4) of the repaired fastening assembly (2). The invention also relates to the repaired fastening assembly (2), which includes the broken stud and the repair kit (1), and to an aircraft engine (3) comprising the repaired fastening assembly (2).
