Abstract
A detection device (10) for detecting objects is described, comprising a housing (12) which includes a housing part (14), two electrical component units (16, 18) arranged in the housing (12), and an electrical connector (30) by which the two electrical component units (16, 18) are electrically connected to each other. The electrical connector (30) has two electrical connection parts (28, 50) which are plugged together to form the electrical connection. A first electrical connection part (28) is mechanically and electrically connected to a first electrical component unit (16), and a second electrical connection part (50) is mechanically and electrically connected to a second electrical component unit (18).The housing part (14) has at least one first support element against which the first electrical component unit (16) rests, and at least one second support element against which the second electrical component unit (18) rests. The housing part (14) has at least one first housing positioning means (90) that engages the first electrical component unit (16), and at least one second housing positioning means (94) that engages the second electrical component unit (18). The at least one first housing positioning means (90) is designed to align the first electrical component unit (16), and the at least one second housing positioning means (94) is designed to align the second electrical component unit (18) during assembly with the housing part (14).
