Gyroscope characterized by the following features: - a first circuit (1) with strongly polarized light (10), - at least one birefringent crystal (11) in the first circuit (1) which is oriented so that it does not change the path of the strongly polarized light (10) when it is polarized in a certain way, - at least one mirror (12) which holds the strongly polarized light (10) in the first circuit (1), - a second circuit (2) which differs from the first circuit (1) by the orientation of the optical axis of the birefringent crystal (11), - at least one non-invasive light sensor (12) in the first circuit (1) which measures the intensity of the strongly polarized light (10).
