Abstract

The invention relates to a hybrid drive system (10) for a motor vehicle (100), comprising: - an internal combustion engine (11) which can be connected to a drive train (30) via a first clutch (20), - at least one electric motor (12) which can be connected to the drive train (30) via a second clutch (20), and - at least one transmission (40, 41) which can be selectively coupled to the internal combustion engine (11), the electric motor (12), or both and which provides a fixed gear ratio, - wherein the drive train (30) comprises at least three operating modes (I, II, III) such that the drive train (30) can be driven either by the internal combustion engine (11) in an internal combustion mode (I), by the electric motor (12) in an electric mode (II), or combined in an assist mode, and wherein at least one generator operation (III) is provided for energy recovery, and - a control unit (50) configured to control the Internal combustion engine (11),to control the electric motor (12) and the clutches (20) according to the operating mode.
