Charging socket for a plug connection for charging a traction battery of a motor vehicle, corresponding plug connection and method for operating a charging socket

Abstract

The invention relates to a charging socket (2) for a plug connection (1) for charging a traction battery of a motor vehicle, wherein the charging socket (2) is provided and designed to receive a charging plug (3) of the plug connection (1) and has several socket contacts for electrical contacting plug contacts of the charging plug (3), and wherein the charging socket (2) has a retraction device (4) for automatically retracting the charging plug (3) into the charging socket (2) and a locking device for locking the charging plug (3) in the charging socket (2).The invention provides that the insertion device (4) has at least one drive element (5) which can be displaced by means of a drive mechanism in the direction of the charging plug (3), wherein in a first position it is arranged spaced apart from the charging plug (3) and in a second position it rests against the charging plug (3), and wherein the drive element (5) is connected to a drive mechanism for drawing the charging plug (3) into the charging socket (2). The invention further relates to a plug connection (1) for charging a traction battery of the motor vehicle and to a method for operating a charging socket (2) for a plug connection (1).
