Abstract

The invention relates to a method, in particular a method that is at least partially computer-implemented, for detecting anomalous behavior of cells of a battery during or after a power-off state (33), wherein a battery model is implemented for the battery, comprising: - measuring voltages of the cells at a first time point (32) during the power-off state (33) and at a subsequent second time point (34) during the power-off state (32), - checking (13) whether a cell with the measured extreme voltage at the first time point (32) and a cell with the measured extreme voltage at the second time point (34) is the same, - signaling a possible anomaly if the cell with the measured extreme voltage at the first (32) and the second (34) time point is not the same.
