Abstract

The invention relates to an opening device for a motor vehicle door, which is equipped with a plunger (3) and with an electric motor drive (4, 5) for the plunger (3). The plunger (3) is formed in at least two parts, comprising a drive plunger (3a) and a driven plunger (3b). The electric motor drive (4, 5) acts on the drive plunger (3a), which is elastically coupled to the driven plunger (3b) for actuating a door leaf (2) of the motor vehicle door. According to the invention, the driven plunger (3b) extends beyond the drive plunger (3a) in the direction of the door leaf (2).
