Abstract

The invention relates to a filter device (1) for filtering a consumable for a motor vehicle, comprising a filter housing (5) which has a filter chamber (7), a raw consumable inlet (9) for supplying unfiltered consumable (B) into the filter chamber (7) and a clean consumable outlet (11) for removing filtered consumable from the filter chamber (7), wherein a support dome (13) is arranged in the filter chamber (7) which is tightly connected to the clean consumable outlet (11) and has an inlet opening (17) opening into the filter chamber (7), an internal flow channel (15) and an outlet opening (19) opening into the clean consumable outlet (11), wherein the filter chamber (7) is configured to receive a filter element (3) having a consumable filter (21) such that a flow-technical filter connection is formed between the raw consumable inlet (9) and the inlet opening (17). formed via the operating fluid filter (21),wherein the filter element (3) separates the raw material supply (9) from the inlet opening (17) outside the flow-related filter connection when the filter element (3) is arranged as intended in the filter chamber (7), wherein the support dome (13) has a closing element (23) which is displaceable between a locked position in which the inlet opening (17) is closed by the closing element (23) and a release position in which the inlet opening (17) is released, wherein the closing element (23) is rotatably mounted between the locked position and the release position about a longitudinal axis (L) of the support dome (13), and wherein the closing element (23) is biased into the locked position.
