Abstract

The invention relates to a multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air purification device, particularly for exhaust air from charcoal or gas grills. Ionized exhaust air to be purified is fed into an air scrubber containing ionized liquid and cooled. Enclosed particles, including oils or fats, are retained in the liquid. The pre-cleaned, cooled exhaust air enters a UVC radiation generation unit and, in a final treatment stage for odor reduction, passes through a replaceable potassium permanganate filter. At least one fan is provided to generate the airflow, the intake side of which is connected to the outlet of the air scrubber. An electrostatic particle deposition arrangement with a high-voltage electrode for generating corona discharges is used for ionization and pre-cleaning of the exhaust air.

Claims

A multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air purification device, in particular for exhaust air from charcoal or gas grills, comprising an arrangement for electrostatic particle separation (6) with a high-voltage electrode for generating corona discharges and a downstream air scrubber (3) containing ionized liquid, in particular water, wherein the contaminated exhaust air to be cleaned is collected via a hood (4) and fed to the arrangement for electrostatic particle separation (6), characterized in that the ionized exhaust air to be cleaned is fed to an air scrubber container with the ionized liquid and cooled there, whereby entrained particles, including oils or fats, remain in the liquid, the pre-cleaned, cooled exhaust air enters a UVC radiation generation unit (9) and in a final treatment stage is passed through a replaceable potassium permanganate filter (10) for odor reduction.wherein at least one fan is provided for generating airflow, the suction side of which is connected to the outlet of the air scrubber container. Multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to claim 1, characterized in that the high-voltage electrode of the arrangement for electrostatic particle separation (6) is designed as a sawtooth electrode and is designed to be separable from the rest of the arrangement for electrostatic particle separation for cleaning purposes. Multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the air washer container of the air washer (3) has a device for breaking up the supplied exhaust air stream into air bubbles. Multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to claim 3, characterized in that the device for dissolving the exhaust air stream has a plurality of grilles or nets. Multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the air scrubber container has means for skimming or removing oil and / or grease particles. High-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the air scrubber container or parts thereof is / are removable for cleaning purposes. High-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the potassium permanganate filter (10) is designed as a hollow cylindrical, replaceable cartridge which accommodates a rod-shaped UVC radiation generation unit (9) inside it. Multi-stage high-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the air scrubber container and / or the fan is surrounded by sound insulation or a sound-insulating enclosure. Grill station with a charcoal or gas heated grill plate (2) and an extractor hood (4) located above it for contaminated exhaust air, which is connected to a high-temperature exhaust air cleaning device according to at least one of the preceding claims. Use of a grill station according to claim 9 in the interior of buildings.
