Abstract

A vehicle parking system is described for parking a motor vehicle in a parking space. The system is configured to determine the position of an upcoming vacant parking space in the vicinity of the vehicle and to determine the availability time at which the vacant parking space will be available for the vehicle to park. The system is further configured to drive the vehicle to the parking space position based on the availability time.
