Abstract

The presented invention relates to a drive unit (100) for moving a number of nozzle needles (115, 205) in an injection molding system (200), wherein the drive unit (100) comprises: - a motor (101) configured to provide a drive force by means of a rotational movement of a mechanical interface (103), - a sliding element (105) mechanically coupled to the number of nozzle needles (115, 205) and configured to move the number of nozzle needles (115, 205) between a lower position and an upper position, - a translational element (107) configured to convert a rotational movement of the mechanical interface (103) of the motor (101) into an axial movement of the sliding element (105).
