Abstract
The invention relates to an air defense system (1) for defending against missiles (2a, 2b), in particular drones, comprising: - at least one sensor node (3a, 3b), wherein the at least one sensor node (3a, 3b) has at least one sensor system (4) for scanning a surveillance area (5) and for detecting missiles (2a, 2b) located in the surveillance area (5); - at least one effector node (6a, 6b), wherein the at least one effector node (6a, 6b) has at least one defense system (7) for neutralizing missiles (2a, 2b); and- at least one processing node (8), wherein the at least one processing node (8) is configured to receive sensor data from the at least one sensor node (3a, 3b) and, on the basis of the sensor data, to control the at least one effector node (6a, 6b) in such a way that the detected missile (2a, 2b) is neutralized in the monitoring space (5);wherein the nodes (3a, 3b, 6a, 6b, 8) are modular and separately manageable nodes (3a, 3b, 6a, 6b, 8) that can be connected to each other for signal transmission or are connected together. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for defending against missiles (2a, 2b), in particular drones.
