Abstract

The invention relates to a hold-down device (1) for a welding system, in particular a laser welding system, comprising a hold-down device (2) by means of which a metal component (4, 5) can be pressed against another metal component (4, 5) during the welding process, and a holding element (3) formed integrally with the hold-down device (2), by means of which the hold-down device (2) is arranged on a handling device of the welding system. In order to create a hold-down device (1) in which such negative influences due to contamination of the hold-down device (1) can be significantly reduced, the hold-down device (2) is at least partially formed with a coating (12) made of a ceramic material.
