Abstract
A method for manufacturing a gear unit (1) is presented and described, wherein the manufactured gear unit (1) comprises two gear sections connected to each other, the method comprising the following steps: providing a first gear section (3) of the two gear sections, providing a second gear section (5) of the two gear sections, and connecting the first gear section (3) and the second gear section (5) by welding the first gear section (3) and the second gear section (5) together. A gear unit (1) with two gear sections is also presented and described.
