Abstract

The invention relates to a method (100) for two-phase cooling of an electrochemical energy storage device (10) with a housing (20) and an electrochemical cell (30), comprising the following steps: a) evaporating (101) at least a portion of a mixture (40) in the electrochemical cell (30) by heating the mixture (40) in a first phase transition; b) condensing (102) the evaporated at least a portion of the mixture (40) in a second phase transition at a cooling device (50); c) returning (103) the condensed at least a portion of the mixture (40) to the electrochemical cell (30), wherein the mixture (40) comprises a coolant (41) and an electrolyte (42.1, 42.2). The invention further relates to an electrochemical energy storage device (10) for energy conversion with two-phase cooling and a vehicle (200).
