Methods for removing anchor elements

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for removing anchor elements embedded in concrete of engineering structures, comprising the steps of: 1. arranging a hydraulic actuator on an anchor element located in a concrete surface of an engineering structure, 2. attaching or inserting a fastening element around or into the anchor element, 3. applying a force to the fastening element by means of the hydraulic actuator, wherein the force points away from the engineering structure parallel to the axis of the anchor element until a material failure occurs of at least i. a material directly surrounding the anchor element at least partially and / or ii. the anchor element below the fastening element, 4. removing iii. the anchor element or iv. a part of the anchor element under which the material failure of the anchor element occurred from the engineering structure.
