The invention relates to a device (100) for a measuring system (1000), in particular comprising a ground fault probe, the device (100) comprising: a handle (10) which is configured to be operated by a user to move the device (100), a lower part (20) which is connected to the handle (10) and is arranged, in particular relative to a vertical (z), below the handle (10), the lower part (20) comprising: an electrode (60) which is arranged in a lower section of the lower part (20), a wetting unit (30) which is arranged at least sectionally above the electrode (60), wherein the wetting unit (30) is configured to supply a conductive medium to the electrode (60). The invention further relates to a measuring system (1000).
