Methods for autonomously performing driving maneuvers

Abstract

A method for autonomously performing driving maneuvers with a vehicle, characterized by the following features: - Acquiring the vehicle's surroundings using a sensor system to determine the available area and identify obstacles; - Validating the acquired data with map information; - Displaying information about the surroundings and the planned trajectory of the vehicle on a display system in the vehicle; - Selecting a driving maneuver mode that includes generating a slide of the vehicle's rear axle; - Calculating a trajectory for the selected driving maneuver based on vehicle speed, road conditions, and, if applicable, steering angle; and - Executing the selected driving maneuver, continuously adjusting the vehicle's trajectory using the sensor system and gyroscopes.
