Abstract

A bracing arrangement for a gearbox designed for 500 kW or more, in particular a gearbox for a vertical roller mill, comprising: a brace (1, 1') with a housing connection section and a ring gear connection section; wherein the brace (1, 1') is configured to connect a housing (3) of the gearbox (4) with a ring gear (2) of a gear set of the gearbox (4); wherein the bracing arrangement is configured to support the gear set against the housing (4), in particular during operation of the gearbox (4).
