Abstract

The invention relates to a limited-slip differential (1) for a motor vehicle comprising: - a differential housing (2), - a first bevel gear (3), - a second bevel gear (4), - at least one further bevel gear (5, 6), - a bevel gear shaft (7) non-rotatably connected to the differential housing (2), - wherein the at least one further bevel gear (5, 6) is engaged or meshes with the first and second bevel gears (3, 4), - a clutch (8) for releasably connecting the differential housing (2) and the first bevel gear (3), - an actuating device (13) for activating and deactivating the clutch (8), - wherein the actuating device (13) or its first or second actuating unit (14, 15) is configured and designed to convert its kinetic energy, generated during the releasable connection of the differential housing (2) and the first bevel gear (3), into another form of energy. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a motor vehicle with at least one limited-slip differential. (1)
