Abstract
The invention relates to a switching device (12) with two terminals (14) that are electrically connected by means of a first current path (18) which includes a mechanical switch (20). The switching device (12) further comprises a second current path (28) that is electrically connected in parallel to the first current path (16) and which includes a bridge rectifier (30) with an AC voltage side (34) and a DC voltage side (38). The AC voltage side (34) is connected to the terminals (14), and the DC voltage side (38) is electrically connected by means of a switching unit (42). The invention further relates to a circuit breaker (10).
