Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a corresponding device, each directed towards the output of a flashing tone when a motor vehicle is performing a lateral maneuver, in particular to assist the driver of the motor vehicle in performing the lateral maneuver. A vehicle may have one or more driving systems, in particular driver assistance systems, each designed to automatically guide the vehicle longitudinally and / or laterally. The vehicle may, in particular, have a lane change assistant designed to initiate an automated lane change of the vehicle to another lane. Alternatively or additionally, the vehicle may have a turning assistant designed to initiate an automated turning maneuver of the vehicle at a road intersection. This document addresses the technical challenge of increasing the comfort and / or safety of a lateral control maneuver, in particular an automated lateral control maneuver, of a (motor) vehicle. The problem is solved by each of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are described, inter alia, in the dependent claims. This document describes a device designed to emit different turn signal tones, in particular different turn signal sequences, during the execution of a lateral steering maneuver (with the turn signal activated), depending on whether the maneuver is performed automatically or manually.
