Abstract

A stator for an electric machine is described, wherein the stator comprises a stator body with axially extending stator slots in which stator windings are arranged, forming a winding head at an end face of the stator body. Furthermore, the stator has a capsule which, together with the end face of the stator body, forms a cavity in which the winding head is arranged. The capsule includes one or more axial inlets, each configured to introduce coolant axially into the cavity, and one or more radial inlets, each configured to introduce coolant radially into the cavity.
