Abstract

The invention relates to a cable connection unit (1) comprising a housing (2) and an electrical contact element (5). The electrical contact element (5) has a fuse section (6) between its first end (8) and its second end (9). The fuse section (6) is designed to melt in the event of an overcurrent flowing through the electrical contact element (5) compared to the remainder (8, 9) of the electrical contact element (5), thereby interrupting the electrically conductive connection between the two ends (8, 9) of the electrical contact element (5). The invention also relates to a motor vehicle (10) with such a cable connection unit (1).
