Abstract

The invention relates to a tubular product (10) comprising a metal tube (12), in particular a steel tube (16), and a protective sheath system (14) circumferentially surrounding the metal tube (12) with a thermoplastic sheath (18) and a fiber-reinforced thermoset sheath (20) circumferentially enclosing the thermoplastic sheath (18), which is formed from several layers of textile glass fiber structures (32, 38) applied to the outer circumferential surface (30) of the thermoplastic sheath (18) in a wet-on-wet process using a vinyl ester, polyester, or epoxy resin. It is provided that the thermoplastic sheath (18) has a thermoplastic sheath base (22) made of thermoplastic material and thermoplastic granules melted onto the outer circumference of this thermoplastic sheath base (22) to form a rough surface structure (28) of the thermoplastic sheath (18) on its outer circumferential surface (30).The invention further relates to a corresponding method for manufacturing a protective sheath system (14) for a metal tube (12).
