Locking device and associated electric furniture lock

Abstract

A locking device (2) according to the invention comprises a locking lever (5) movably mounted between an open and a closed locking position, a movably mounted drive element (6), a coupling element (8) spring-loaded in the direction of movement (A, B) of the locking lever (5) which couples the locking lever (5) to the drive element (6) for movement, and a blocking element (19) which, in a blocking position, blocks the locking lever (5) in the open locking position. When the drive element (6) is moved in a drive direction (b), the coupling element (8) is carried along by the drive element (6) in the closing direction (B) of the locking lever (5), and thereby the locking lever (5), which is blocked by the blocking element (19) in its open locking position, is biased by the coupling element (8) in the closing direction (B).
