Abstract

The invention relates to a method (72) for operating an electric motor (12) connected to a screw drive (24), comprising providing the screw drive (24) and providing the electric motor (12) with a multiphase stator (14) and a rotor (16) rotatable relative to the stator (14) depending on a phase current periodically applied to the stator phases (74) in electrical revolutions (82) and capable of driving the screw drive (24), starting from a rotor standstill of the rotor (16) and in an end position of the screw drive (24), in a first step (76) controlling the electric motor (12) with a predetermined first current amplitude (78) of the phase current over a first phase segment (80) of the electrical revolution (82).Subsequently, in a second step (90), the electric motor (12) is controlled with a predetermined second current amplitude (92) of the phase current that is larger in magnitude than the first current amplitude (78) via a second phase segment (94) of the electric revolution (82) that is offset from the first phase segment (80). The invention further relates to an electric motor (12) and a valve assembly (10).
