Fan with protective grille bypass

Abstract

The invention relates to a fan (1) with a rotatably mounted impeller (2), wherein a protective grille (3) is arranged on the fan (1) to cover the impeller (2), and the protective grille (3) has several grille elements (4, 8) and grille openings (5) formed between the grille elements (4, 8), and a grille spacing (7) is formed between the grille elements (4, 8) transversely to a central longitudinal axis (6) of the fan (1). Furthermore, a gap (10), in particular an annular gap, forming a protective grille bypass, is formed between an outermost grille element (8) transversely to the central longitudinal axis (6) of the fan (1) and a housing unit (9) of the fan (1).
