A method, application program (10), computer-readable data carrier (11), user device (5) and a communication system (1) for setting up a user device (5), for example a mobile device or IoT device, to participate in a data processing service (C) via a telecommunications network (N), with a secure element (6), in particular an eUICC, configured to manage at least one profile data set (P) for the secure operation of the user device (5), and wherein the following steps are performed: providing an application data set (A) configured to exchange data objects (D) between the secure element (6) and the data processing service (C); sending a data service request (Q) based on at least one data object (D) from a data interface (9) of the user device (5) to the secure element (6);and handling a data exchange to process the data service request (Q) between the secure element (6) and the data processing service (C).;
