Abstract

The invention relates to a locking device with a key (1) and a locking cylinder (5), wherein the cylinder core (4) has a non-movable groove bottom sensing pin (11) projecting into a key channel (3) and a movable step sensing pin (13) projecting into the key channel (3), which scans a step (16) in the key shaft (2) which runs parallel to a groove bottom (10) which is scanned by a scanning end (12) of a groove bottom sensing pin (11), wherein the groove bottom (10) and the step (16) run obliquely to a broad side plane (6) of the key shaft, wherein a head (21) of the step sensing pin (13) closes a catch opening (26) for capturing a housing pin (27).
