Abstract
The invention relates to a method for warning a user of an electric vehicle (100) of an impending breakdown, comprising the following steps: - Determining the currently available range (102) of the electric vehicle (102) based on the state of charge (104) of a vehicle battery (106); - Determining or acquiring a planned route (108); - Receiving real-time data (110) regarding currently available charging stations along the planned route (108); - Outputting a warning signal (112) to a driver (114) as soon as the electric vehicle (100) falls below a predefined remaining range and displaying the currently available charging stations within the remaining range along the planned route (108). The invention also relates to an assistance system (124) for carrying out a corresponding method.
