Abstract

The invention relates to a method for electrically charging a battery pack (1) comprising a deep-discharge-resistant electric battery cell (2) and two poles (3, 4) that can be electrically contacted externally, for example; wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) detecting the battery cell (2) as deep-discharge-resistant and / or detecting a deep-discharged state of the battery cell (2); b) checking the orientation of the poles (3, 4) relative to a charger (7) and / or checking the battery pack (1) for the presence of a fault; c) if the check according to step b) shows that the poles (3, 4) are in a predetermined charging orientation relative to the charger (7) and / or that the battery pack (1) is free of faults: electrically charging the at least one electric battery cell (2) via the poles (3, 4) by means of the charger (7) in order to charge the battery pack (1).
