Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a virtual assistant in a vehicle (110) comprising a control unit (100), a vehicle microphone (102) in a communication link with the control unit (100) for recording a conversation, and an output display (106) in a communication link with the control unit (100), comprising the steps of: - recording a conversation using the vehicle microphone (102), wherein the conversation is conducted either in the vehicle (100) itself or via a hands-free device of the vehicle (100); - storing the recorded conversation in an audio file; - transcribing the recorded conversation into text using a trained first artificial neural network (104) implemented in the control unit (100); and - outputting the complete text or a summary of the text on the output display (106) or sending it depending on a modifiable preset.The invention also relates to a computer program and a vehicle (100).
