Abstract

The invention relates to a high-voltage battery (10) for use in an electric vehicle (100), comprising at least one battery cell (11) with a cell housing (12) for storing electrical energy, a battery housing (20) for receiving the at least one battery cell (11), and a degassing unit (14) arranged on the cell housing (12) with at least one degassing opening (15) for safely removing battery cell gas from the battery cell (11) from the cell housing (12), further comprising a particle separator (21) arranged in the cell housing (12) for separating cell components (16) in the event of outgassing of the battery cell (11), wherein the particle separator (21) has a rib structure (22).
