Abstract

A device (100) for detecting magnetic fields is proposed. The device (100) comprises a non-planar Hall effect region (110). The device (100) comprises at least four contacts (120) arranged along a boundary of the non-planar Hall effect region (110). The device (100) comprises a circuit arrangement (130) configured to introduce current through at least two different pairs of contacts (120) and to measure voltages between at least two other pairs of contacts (120) in different operating phases. The device (100) comprises a processing unit (120) configured to determine different magnetic field components by different combinations of the measured voltages from the different operating phases.
