Abstract

The invention relates to a connector system (100), in particular a data connector system, comprising a connector (101), a mating connector (103), and a locking device (105), wherein the connector (101) comprises a connector housing (107) and at least one contact element (109) arranged in the connector housing (107), wherein the mating connector (103) comprises a mating connector housing (111) and at least one contact element (113) arranged in the mating connector housing (111), wherein the mating connector housing (111) defines a receiving space (115) for at least partially receiving the connector housing (107) of the connector (101), wherein a first locking recess (119) is formed on an outer surface (117) of the connector housing (107), and wherein a second locking recess is formed on an outer surface (117) of the mating connector housing (111). (121) is trainedwherein the locking device (105) comprises a first locking projection (123) for engaging in the first locking recess (119) and a second locking projection (125) for engaging in the second locking recess (121), wherein the locking device (105) enables the connector (101) inserted into the mating connector (103) up to a locking position (AP) to be locked to the mating connector (103).
