Procedure for adjusting a vehicle headlight

Abstract

The invention relates to a method (1) for adjusting a headlight mounted on a motor vehicle, wherein the headlight is controlled to emit a calibration image (2) against a projection surface (3). Improved headlight adjustment can be achieved by: - ​​the calibration image (2) being formed by at least one calibration line (4) or having at least one calibration line (4); - a reference image (6) being present or generated on the projection surface (3); - adjusting the headlight so that the respective calibration line (4) on the projection surface (3) assumes a predetermined relative position relative to the reference image (6), which represents a properly adjusted headlight; - the respective calibration line (4) having several longitudinal sections (8) with reduced brightness along its line extension (5).
