Abstract
Method for operating a parking assistance system (110) of a vehicle (100), wherein the parking assistance system (110) is configured in a following mode for autonomously following a trajectory (TR) learned in a training mode, wherein the trajectory (TR) is defined by a sequence of localization positions (P1 - P8), each localization position (P1 - P8) being assigned height information (h), the method comprising: determining (S1) an entrance (302) to a parking garage (300) in which the vehicle (100) is to be parked as a reference localization position (PR) of the localization positions (P1 - P8); determining (S2) the height information (h1) assigned to the reference localization position (PR) as the reference height (hR); and determine (S3) the respective height information (h2 - h8) assigned to the further localization positions (P2 - P8) in relation to the reference height (hR).
