The invention relates to a sanitizing station (106) for sanitizing a cleaning cloth (109) of an autonomous floor cleaning device (103), the station (106) comprising a wastewater collection container (154) with a safety interlock (157), wherein the safety interlock (157) is configured to block the opening of the wastewater collection container (154) when a defined condition is met. The invention further relates to a sanitizing system (100) with such a sanitizing station (106) and a method (200) for sanitizing a cleaning cloth (109) of an autonomous floor cleaning device (103).
