Abstract

A battery module (1) is disclosed comprising a first prismatic battery cell (10), a second prismatic battery cell (12), and a profile (20), wherein a cross-section of the profile (20) in an unloaded state of the profile (20) comprises a repeated sequence of a first substantially planar segment (30a, 30b) for attachment to the first battery cell (10), a first elastic segment (34a, 34b) connected to the first substantially planar segment (30a, 30b), a second substantially planar segment (32a, 32b) for attachment to the second battery cell (12) which is connected to the first elastic segment (34a, 34b), and a second elastic segment (34a, 34b) which is connected to the second substantially planar segment (32a, 32b), and wherein the profile (20) in an installation state between the first and the second is arranged in a prismatic battery cell (10, 12).
