Abstract

The present invention relates to a sensor device (10) for determining the state, in particular the position, of a component (3) comprising a magnet (12), in particular a U-shaped magnet, with a first end (13) and a second end (14). The first end (13) and the second end (14) are in particular circular segment-shaped or parabolic, wherein the magnet (12) is configured such that, when arranged on the component, the magnetic field lines of the magnet (12) can pass through the component (3) between the first end (13) and the second end (14). The sensor device further comprises a flux density sensor, in particular a Hall sensor (15), arranged on the magnet (12), which is configured to measure a magnetic flux density. The sensor device further comprises a control device (17) connected to the magnetic flux density sensor, wherein the control device (17) is configured to determine the state of the component depending on the measured magnetic flux density. The present invention also relates to a crimping device (1) with such a sensor device and to a method for crimping a fitting to a pipe using such a crimping device.
