Abstract
To equip a USB-C connector with a push-pull locking mechanism while ensuring its functionality, it is proposed to make its connector insert (8) at least partially elastic. The elastic deformation of the connector insert (8) allows for mechanical tolerance compensation between the locking element (61) and the connector element (9) when the connector is plugged in. This effectively compensates for common manufacturing / component / design tolerances without increased design effort.
