Determination of structural information of objects using an event camera

Abstract

The invention relates to a method, particularly a computer-implemented method, for determining structural information (SI) of at least one object (O) in the environment of a vehicle with a sensor system comprising at least one event camera (1), a corresponding event camera (1), a computer program, and a computer program product. The method comprises at least the following steps: - Receiving event information (E(t)) triggered by the at least one object (O) from the event camera (1) as a function of time (t), - Determining at least one trajectory function (TF) for the object (O) such that a predefinable event subset (ET(Δt)) of the received event information E(t) is approximately a function value of the trajectory function (TF), and - Determining the structural information (SI) based on the trajectory function (TF).
